Role
Providing advice to the Monitoring Officer, Deputy Monitoring Officer, and other colleagues across the Council on governance and other matters you will be expected to: Advise committees and Full Council around lawful decision making and good governance. Assist with the handling of complaints relating to the member code of conduct and the Nottinghamshire Police and Crime Panel. Provide management oversight of advice delivered as part of the Council's legal services to its maintained schools and ad hoc advice in relation to this. Have considerable experience of working with local government organisations, including providing advice to senior colleagues regarding constitutional and other legal matters. Provide governance advice to support the wider Corporate and Environmental Law team and Democratic Services.
