The role will include: Undertaking timely housing assessments and developing effective Personalised Housing Plans. Negotiating with private landlords, letting agents, family members and other parties to prevent homelessness. Supporting households affected by rent arrears, affordability difficulties, relationship breakdown or the loss of private rented accommodation. Identifying suitable private rented housing and helping applicants access deposits, rent in advance and other financial assistance. Delivering measurable prevention and relief outcomes, reducing the need for temporary accommodation.

The successful candidate must have recent experience of homelessness prevention or housing options work, a good working knowledge of Part VII of the Housing Act 1996 and the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017, and a strong record of achieving positive outcomes through negotiation and effective case management.
