Who You Are
You are a locum social worker with experience in social care, specifically within a multi-disciplinary setting. You possess a recognized social work qualification and are registered with the professional regulatory body. You have a strong understanding of social care practice, including relevant legislation and statutory responsibilities, and have experience working with children, young people, and families from diverse backgrounds.
What the job involves
The role is within the Children Looked After Team in Shepton Mallet, Mendip. You will build trusting relationships with children and families using strengths-based and trauma-informed practice. You are responsible for conducting high-quality, child-centered assessments, completing statutory responsibilities, and preparing clear reports and documentation. You will promote equality, diversity, and children's rights through anti-discriminatory practice and participate in duty work, professional development, and service initiatives.
