You should possess a deep understanding of the complexities faced by homeless applicants and demonstrate empathy, trauma-informed practices, and advanced communication skills.
What the Job Involves
You will be responsible for ensuring the Housing Needs and Strategy service is exemplary, placing residents at the center of service delivery. Key tasks include assessing homeless applications, ensuring compliance with relevant homelessness legislation, and participating in case conferences. You will liaise with internal teams and external agencies, support council initiatives, and contribute to the resolution of councillor and the ombudsman queries. Maintaining effective partnerships, providing person-centred services, and safeguarding responsibilities are integral to this role.
