Who You Are
You are a Senior Compliance Officer with experience in planning enforcement. You possess a degree in Planning or an equivalent professional qualification, and membership in the Royal Town Planning Institute is desirable. You have significant experience in planning enforcement, on-site investigation, interviewing, and using computerised systems. You are committed to maintaining the highest standards of conduct and confidentiality.
What the job involves
You will be investigating breaches of planning control and working with applicants and developers to resolve these issues. Your responsibilities include liaising with the Team Leader on complex investigations, logging requests, site visits, negotiating compliance, and preparing reports. You will work with Legal Services as required and present evidence in appeals and hearings. Additionally, you will assist with officer and Member training, participate in enforcement projects, and provide support across Planning Services.
