Who You Are
You are a qualified social worker with substantial experience in adult safeguarding. You hold a valid HCPC registration and possess excellent communication and risk assessment skills. With a thorough understanding of pertinent legislation such as the Care Act 2014 and the Mental Capacity Act 2005, you are adept at managing complex safeguarding inquiries and providing leadership in safeguarding practices.
What the job involves
The role involves managing the intake of safeguarding concerns and conducting initial and complex inquiries under the Adult Safeguarding framework. You will act as the Safeguarding Adults Manager (SAM), chair strategy meetings, and lead organizational abuse enquiries. You will support less experienced workers, deliver workshops, and contribute to quality assurance processes. Engaging with multi-agency panels and working on preventive agendas is also key to the role. Supervising practitioners within the Safeguarding Hub and working flexible hours are part of your responsibilities.
