Who You Are
You are a qualified Social Worker with at least 3 years post-qualification experience, holding a Social Work Degree, DipSW, CQSW or equivalent, with current Social Work England registration. You have experience working within statutory social care settings, have a comprehensive understanding of safeguarding and child protection legislation, and are adept in assessing risk and family dynamics. You excel in communication, building trusted relationships with children, families, and professionals through empathy and engagement. You are organized, resilient, and proficient in managing demanding workloads and IT systems.
What the job involves
As a Senior Practitioner within the Family Help team, you'll manage a complex caseload, support children, young people, and their families, and lead as the Family Help Lead Practitioner. Your role encompasses assessing needs, identifying risks, and developing Family Help Plans in collaboration with partner agencies. You will chair and participate in meetings, undertake risk assessments, and carry out safeguarding duties. Your tasks include building restorative relationships, ensuring children's safety and welfare, accurate record-keeping, report writing, and contributing to decision making.
