Ideally a social worker with experience of working in a fostering team and with foster carers.

What the job involves

Work in partnership with foster carers to provide supervision and support in accordance with statutory regulations and Monmouthshire County Council's requirements. Ensure regular supervision and up-to-date annual reviews for foster carers, support their attendance at relevant meetings, and facilitate their training and development. Maintain high-quality foster carer diaries and advise on the suitability of carers for specific children. Complete and update statutory checks, support foster carers in meeting children's needs, and contribute to foster carer support groups.
