You have significant experience with SEND statutory processes and EHC Plans, along with strong knowledge of the Children and Families Act 2014 and the SEND Code of Practice. You are experienced in managing complex SEND casework, supporting and advising colleagues, and possess strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. You are able to analyze information, make sound decisions, and meet deadlines.
What the Job Involves
This role involves providing senior support within the SEND Assessment and Review Team, ensuring delivery of statutory processes within legal timescales. Responsibilities include overseeing complex case tracking, supporting and challenging Assessment and Reviewing Officers, undertaking quality assurance activities, and managing a small caseload of complex or high-risk cases. The role also requires monitoring and tracking EHC needs assessments, offering guidance on complex cases, and working collaboratively with families and professionals to achieve positive outcomes for children and young people. Additionally, the role involves promoting accountability within the team and supporting managers with performance monitoring and service improvements.
