What the Job Involves The role involves managing and evaluating a portfolio of construction projects, reviewing plans to assess compliance with Building Regulations, and conducting site inspections throughout construction stages. You will provide Building Control advice, undertake specialist technical assessments, assess dangerous structures, and arrange emergency remedial works. Responsibilities include investigating unauthorised works, progressing enforcement action, and acting as the Council’s expert witness. You will liaise with developers, architects, contractors, and stakeholders, supporting trainee surveyors and contributing to service improvements and customer service excellence.
