Who You Are
You are a dedicated social worker with the ability to develop and sustain effective relationships with service users, colleagues, and external staff. You possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and have a strong understanding of child development, family dynamics, and diversity issues relevant to social work practice. Experience with direct work with children and families, as well as the ability to work independently under supervision, is essential.
What the job involves
As a Social Worker, you will work with children, young people, and their families/carers to plan and lead assessments of strengths, resilience, vulnerabilities, developmental needs, and risks. You will work in accordance with the Nottinghamshire practice framework, ensuring compliance with legislation and departmental policies. Key duties include organising and maintaining accurate records, coordinating and reviewing outcome-focused plans with colleagues from various agencies, and participating in team activities and supervision. You will promote equal opportunities and deliver fair services sensitive to customers' needs while ensuring compliance with health and safety standards and data protection regulations.
