You are an individual passionate about helping people overcome barriers to sustainable employment. You have experience working with individuals facing poverty and are committed to equality and diversity. You are flexible, able to work evenings and weekends, and have excellent communication skills.
What the job involves
As a Community Employment Mentor, you will join the local delivery team working across Carmarthenshire as part of the Communities for Work Plus Programme. Your role involves supporting unemployed participants or those in work poverty to overcome employment barriers. You will mentor clients, work collaboratively with various services, and ensure a holistic approach. Your responsibilities include developing action plans, supporting individuals to access opportunities, and maintaining accurate records. You will also participate in engagement activities and ensure adherence to County Council policies.

- Customer care skills

- IT proficiency, including Microsoft Office
- Understanding of welfare reform and employment programs
- Experience in mentoring or intensive support services
