Who You Are
The ideal candidate is someone educated to BSc (Hons) level in building surveying or with equivalent demonstrable experience. You are knowledgeable about administration systems, databases, and void management processes. You have experience working in a fast-paced surveying role within a repairs service, managing variations, post inspections, and successfully handling contractor relationships. You are proactive, collaborative, effective in communication, and focused on delivering results.
What the Job Involves
This role will require carrying out inspections for Legal Disrepair matters, managing contractors, raising and managing work orders, and ensuring effective surveying services according to specifications and legislation. You will progress repairs on disrepair claims in properties, review expert reports, conduct pre-work surveys, liaise with repair contractors, and apply safeguarding principles. The surveyor will also undertake quality checks, liaise with the Repairs Cost Team for value for money, provide technical expertise, and ensure all Lambeth Council policies and statutory requirements are met.
