You are knowledgeable in housing allocation laws, including the Housing Act 1996, Homelessness Reduction Act 2017, and other relevant legislation. You are innovative, dynamic, and solutions-focused, with a deep understanding of social care environments and welfare reforms.

What the Job Involves

The role involves completing and assessing applications for the housing register, providing comprehensive housing advice, coordinating housing allocations, and preventing homelessness. Responsibilities include matching applicants with appropriate housing, verifying applicant details, conducting interviews, and referring applicants to support services. The postholder will also develop systems and processes to improve housing allocations and maintain communication with various stakeholders.
