An experienced leader capable of overseeing multi-agency environments, you possess the ability to provide matrix management for partner agency professionals within a child protection team. You are skilled at working collaboratively with multiple organizations to ensure coordinated safeguarding responses and high-quality practices for children and young people.
What the job involves
This role involves providing leadership and oversight for a multi-agency child protection team, specifically ensuring effective operational delivery and accountability. You will have direct management oversight of team managers and social work practitioners, while managing Health and Education Leads. Your responsibilities include ensuring effective partnership working, timely child protection conferences, and promoting a collaborative culture focused on achieving positive outcomes for children and young families. You will also align safeguarding activities with local arrangements, statutory guidance, and promote the use of Signs of Safety practice principles.
