Who You Are
An individual with at least six months of relevant experience in supporting people with complex needs, including learning difficulties and complex health requirements. You may have a relevant qualification, such as NVQ level 2, or be willing to undertake and complete this qualification within specified timescales.
What the job involves
The Community Support Worker role is part of the specialist community support service at the Sutton Inclusion Centre. You will provide community support to individuals with profound learning disabilities and complex needs. This includes assisting people to integrate into their local community, using local resources to promote independence and reduce reliance on specialized services. Your tasks will include delivering core responsibilities, managing routine issues, operating complex tools, and basic equipment maintenance. Additionally, you will also support senior staff with service delivery and allocate tasks to junior staff members, ensuring effective financial resource management.
