Who You Are
You are a compassionate and experienced social worker with a focus on working with children and young people with disabilities and their families. You hold a Social Work England registration and a recognised Social Work qualification, and you have substantial post-qualifying experience in statutory children's social care services. You are committed to safeguarding children, promoting their welfare, and improving outcomes. Your strong communication skills and ability to build positive relationships make you effective in multi-agency settings and court proceedings.
What the job involves
The role involves delivering high-quality social work services to children with disabilities, fulfilling statutory responsibilities such as assessing need and risk, and coordinating multi-agency interventions. You will manage a caseload including Child in Need (CIN), Child Protection (CP), and Looked After Children (CLA) cases, initiate and coordinate CIN plans, undertake Section 47 enquiries, and engage in direct work with families. Your responsibilities also include preparing court statements, attending hearings, maintaining accurate case records, and facilitating transitions to Adult Services.
