Who You Are
You are an experienced professional with a background in building safety, fire safety, or building surveying. You hold a bachelor's degree or equivalent certificate in Building Surveying or a related field and have at least 5 years of experience in the field. You have excellent communication skills and are familiar with key legislation related to building and fire safety.
What the Job Involves
This role is part of the Building Safety Team, working on the Private Sector Building Safety Programme to identify and address fire safety defects in residential buildings. Key responsibilities include reviewing building data, developing inspection programs, engaging with building proprietors, reviewing safety scheme data, building relationships with stakeholders, and supporting enforcement actions. The job involves a mix of on-site inspections and office-based reporting and administrative tasks.
