Allocations & Lettings Officer

Who You Are You are a housing professional with a comprehensive understanding of housing law, including the Housing Act 1996, the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017, and other relevant legislation. Your experience spans working in front-line customer service environments, dealing with vulnerable clients, and implementing equality and diversity approaches to service delivery.

What the Job Involves This role involves the allocation and letting of council and registered provider accommodations in line with housing legislation. You will coordinate the advertising of void properties, conduct interviews and home visits, and provide comprehensive housing advice. The position demands dealing with applicants' support needs, maintaining accurate records, and managing the refusal process for temporary accommodations. You will be required to work collaboratively with various stakeholders to ensure effective housing solutions and maintain performance standards.
