Who You Are

You are a qualified early years/education professional with at least Level 3 qualification and possess an in-depth understanding of early years legislation and guidance. You have extensive knowledge of child development for children under 5 and experience in managing Ofsted registered settings with a good inspection history. You are skilled in collaborating with professionals across various sectors to improve children's outcomes.

What the job involves

The role involves managing a caseload of early years PVI settings, providing targeted support and challenge to ensure compliance with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). You will advise and train early years practitioners, facilitating networks for sharing best practices and integrating inclusive strategies. The job includes supporting Southwark’s Best Start in Life Plan, maintaining engagement with local and national policies, and supporting the provision of early years entitlements and key initiatives. You will also assist enquirers in setting up new childcare provisions, ensuring environment compliance with statutory requirements.
