Who You Are
We are looking for experienced SEND professionals who are passionate about making a difference for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. You should have strong analytical, legal, and advocacy skills, and expert knowledge of SEND legislation and statutory processes.
What the job involves
As an Appeal Senior Practitioner, you will lead on SEND Tribunal appeals and represent the Local Authority at hearings. Your responsibilities include preparing high-quality Local Authority responses, managing cases, and presenting evidence at Tribunal hearings. You will also contribute to legally compliant decision-making and champion positive outcomes for children and families. The role involves developing expertise in appeals and dispute resolution, influencing service improvements, and using learning from Tribunal outcomes to strengthen practice across the SEND service.
