Who You Are
You are a qualified and accredited social work professional with experience in child care settings. You have a strong understanding of the Children Act 1989, 2004, and the Every Child Matters agenda. As a social worker, you are committed to providing good quality services to support children, young people, and their families. You possess excellent communication, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
What the Job Involves
The role involves managing a caseload that includes Children in Need, Child Protection, and Looked After Children. You will be responsible for undertaking assessments, formulating, monitoring, and managing plans for children with multi-agency partners to ensure positive outcomes. You will work with statutory bodies, third sector, and private organizations, ensuring multi-agency engagement and providing appropriate support and interventions. Your responsibilities also include maintaining case records, undertaking court proceedings, and safeguarding children and young people.
