What the Job Involves
Your role involves assessing the needs of children with disabilities, developing care plans, managing statutory case responsibilities, and coordinating services to ensure their well-being and development. You will be responsible for safeguarding children, managing personal budgets, and facilitating access to education and health services. Effective communication and a trauma-informed approach to practice are essential. You will ensure compliance with legislation and contribute to a culture of Motivational Practice to improve relationships and outcomes for children and families.
Skills
- Social Work qualification, registered with Social Work England
- Understanding of legislation, regulation, and safeguarding practices
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written
- Experience in child development and trauma-informed practice
- Ability to assess and mitigate risk from various adult issues
- Conduct assessments and make informed decisions and plans
- Effective use of supervision for professional development
- Commitment to challenging inequality
- Enhanced DBS clearance
