You are a highly qualified professional with a CTSI Trading Standards qualification alongside a university degree. You are experienced in working within large urban authorities or private sector organizations, specifically in a Trading Standards service. You possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong time management skills, and the ability to work independently. Your proficiency extends to the enforcement procedures and using a variety of enforcement powers with a comprehensive understanding of current and proposed Trading Standards legislation.
What the job involves
This role involves carrying out criminal compliance enforcement activities and leading inspections, surveys, and investigations into breaches of trading standards legislation. You are responsible for preparing reports, conducting interviews, and giving evidence in court. The position involves engaging in stakeholder collaboration to secure business compliance, contributing to local and national health promotion initiatives, and ensuring alignment with Trading Standards policy frameworks. As a critical team player, you will mentor colleagues, provide business advice within Wirral, and manage resources and data securely while maintaining up-to-date knowledge on government initiatives and legislation.
