What the Job Involves
The Children's Service Contact Team (CSCT) is Islington's central point of contact for new referrals for Children's Social Care and related services. As a Referral Officer, you'll be the first point of contact for the public and partner agencies, offering support to CSCT Managers, Senior Social Workers, and other professionals. You’ll gather relevant information from referrers, ensure accurate data entry into electronic systems, and promote the welfare of children. Key responsibilities include safeguarding children, maintaining administrative systems, fostering good working relationships with team members, sensitively handling inquiries, processing contacts with precision, producing reports and documents using ICT systems, and participating in projects and training.
