Social Worker (Adults) (Grade 10)

Who You Are The ideal candidate is a compassionate and self-aware individual, capable of demonstrating empathy and sensitivity. You are resilient, capable of working under pressure with competing deadlines, and open to organizational change. You are fluent in English and can communicate effectively with diverse individuals. Possession of a recognized Social Work Qualification and registration with Social Work England is essential. You have experience in social care, particularly in a multi-disciplinary team, and have supervised or coached others. You also have access to a vehicle for work purposes.

What the job involves The role involves conducting risk and care assessments for service users and carers, ensuring their protection from harm, and managing a varying caseload. You will collaborate with multiple agencies, utilize IT systems for data management, and prepare reports to support decision-making. Your responsibilities include statutory reviews, developing and maintaining effective working relationships with various stakeholders, facilitating needs-led services, and contributing to policy and practice development. You will also engage with individuals refusing service but who are at risk, lead initiatives in specialized areas like learning disabilities, and work within a team to deliver quality social care services. Your role extends to promoting equality, diversity, and rights and enhancing your knowledge through continuous professional development.
