Who You Are
As an IRO, you have a strong background in children's social care, with experience in care planning and expert knowledge of child protection procedures, legislation, and practice. You have worked at a Team Manager level and possess excellent communication skills to build strong professional relationships across agencies.
What the job involves
In this role as a Child Protection Chair, you will chair all Child Protection Conferences confidently. Your responsibilities include producing and updating child protection plans, coordinating investigations, and quality assuring and auditing plans to minimize risks and achieve best practices. You will ensure that children and young people remain central to decision-making and that their voices are heard.
