You are an Advice and Information Officer passionate about adult social care. Your knowledge encompasses key services within Adult Social Care, the needs of vulnerable populations, data protection legislation, and welfare rights issues. An adaptable and self-motivated professional, you maintain a positive attitude towards change and have a flexible approach to your work.
What the Job Involves
Your primary responsibility is to address adult social care enquiries through various communication channels. You’ll provide information, advice, and refer individuals to community services that promote independence. You are responsible for recording and managing information in line with legislative requirements while actively participating in outreach work and training new staff. Ensuring high standards of customer care, you will engage stakeholders both within and outside the council, aiming for efficient service delivery.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of Adult Social Care services
- Experience in customer service within social care
- Ability to handle challenging clients
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems
- Effective verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and to targets
