Who You Are
The successful candidate is an experienced social worker with significant experience in social work, specifically with adults, including older adults and those with physical disabilities. You have a professional qualification in social work and current Social Work England registration. You possess a specialist knowledge of social work theories and practices, as well as strength-based practice, and have experience working in conjunction with various health and social care agencies.
What the Job Involves
The primary purpose of the role is to support adults and carers, promoting their well-being and maximizing their independence through community resources. You will work intensively with adults in crisis, engage in assessments and support planning, and provide mentorship and support to less experienced staff. Responsibilities include meeting statutory requirements, ensuring multi-agency approaches, promoting safeguarding, and representing the Authority when necessary.
