Children's Social Worker - (Grade I - Inside IR35)

Who You Are You are a professional Social Worker committed to providing quality support to children, young people, and their families. You aim to work according to the Health and Care Professions Council’s Code of Practice and have a confident command of English. You are knowledgeable about current child care practices and legislation, including the Children Act 1989 and 2004.
What the Job Involves You will hold and manage a caseload including Children in Need, Child Protection, and Looked After Children. Your responsibilities include undertaking assessments, formulating, and monitoring plans with multi-agency partners to ensure timely outcomes. You will engage in supervision, performance appraisal, and ensure proper documentation for all cases. Your role will involve partnering with statutory bodies, third and private sector organizations, and supporting the planning and commissioning of services. You will participate in safeguarding children, be responsible for their welfare, and take action in emergencies.
