Who You Are
An experienced, motivated, and confident social worker with strong assessment, safeguarding, and analytical skills. Preferably, you have experience working with disabled children, young people, and their families.
What the Job Involves
You will manage a varied and complex caseload of disabled children and/or young people and undertake high-quality assessments, planning, intervention, and reviews. Your role includes statutory social work activity, working directly with children and young people, collaborating with parents and carers, coordinating with colleagues across various sectors, promoting positive outcomes, and maintaining professional standards and case management.
Skills
- Recognised social work qualification and registration
- Post-qualifying experience in statutory social work
- Knowledge of social care legislation and safeguarding
- Experience in statutory assessments and child protection
- Ability to communicate with children with different needs
- Strong multi-agency working and negotiation skills
- Effective conflict resolution and focus on child safety
- Excellent written, verbal, and analytical skills
- Organisational and prioritisation skills
- Knowledge of resources for disabled children and families
