Who You Are
An experienced Electrical Inspector with a Level 3 NVQ or equivalent qualification in electrical engineering. You are knowledgeable about AICO smoke alarms and have experience with social housing installations. You must also hold a testing qualification, such as the 2391 or an equivalent.
What the Job Involves
In this role, you will join our EICR team to oversee contractor works and certification, ensuring compliance with statutory obligations related to engineering installations, water hygiene, and asbestos. You'll report to the Contract Manager and handle responsibilities for capital projects valued at £5M. Your role involves regular monitoring of budgets, coordinating major works with internal departments and external customers, and ensuring high-value services to tenants and leaseholders. This position may require attending sites after normal office hours and managing emergencies within urgent time scales.
