You are a passionate and driven Social Worker eager to make a lasting difference in the lives of children and young people. With experience in statutory social work settings, you have strong knowledge of safeguarding, legislation, and child development. You excel in communication and relationship-building and have a commitment to anti-racist, anti-discriminatory, and anti-oppressive practices. An interest in trauma-informed practice and Motivational Interviewing is also desirable.
What the job involves
As a Child and Family Social Worker, you will work directly with children, families, and care experienced young people, promoting safety, stability, and long-term positive outcomes. You will manage a caseload, carry out assessments, develop plans, collaborate with multi-agency partners, lead on safeguarding processes, and advocate for children and young people. Your role will also involve supporting placement stability and permanency planning while maintaining accurate case records. You will be part of a supportive, multi-disciplinary team, focused on trauma-informed and motivational practices.
