Who You Are

We are looking for someone who is willing to learn, enthusiastic, and committed to achieving the best outcomes for children with disabilities and their families. Ideally, you will have experience in disability services or children's services.

What the job involves

As a Social Worker within the Children with Disabilities Team, you will build relationships with children, young people, their families, and carers to understand what matters to them. You will manage a caseload of children with disabilities, including those subject to Care and Support Plans, Child Protection Plans, and Looked After arrangements. Your responsibilities include undertaking statutory assessments, safeguarding children, developing care and support plans, identifying situations where Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards may apply, collaborating with partners, supporting transitions, advocating for children, maintaining records, engaging in team development, and promoting safe working practices.
