A reliable and hardworking individual, capable of performing physically demanding outdoor tasks in all weather conditions. You’re committed to maintaining high standards, have good awareness of health and safety practices, and can work effectively as part of a team. Experience in street cleansing, grounds maintenance, waste collection, or environmental services is desirable, but not essential. You must have your boots and hi-viz gear.
What the Job Involves
As a Temporary Leaf Clearance Operative, you'll join our street cleaning team. This is a six-week contract during the peak of the leaf-fall season. Your key responsibilities include sweeping and collecting leaves from various public spaces, loading the collected leaves onto a dustcart, and using hand tools effectively. You will work alongside experienced street cleansing operatives and interact professionally with members of the public. Additionally, you'll report any hazards encountered during your duties and follow all health and safety procedures.
