Who You Are

Are you passionate about safeguarding adults and making a real difference to people's lives? We are looking for an experienced and motivated Social Worker to join our specialist safeguarding hub within the Assessment and Intake Team for Older People and Adults with Physical Disabilities [OPPD]. This role offers the opportunity to focus exclusively on safeguarding work, supporting adults at risk and helping to achieve positive outcomes through Making Safeguarding Personal Framework.

What the Job Involves

As part of a dedicated safeguarding hub, you will play a key role in responding to safeguarding concerns, assessing risk, and deciding on the progression of Section 42 enquiries. You will work closely with individuals, families, health colleagues, and partner agencies, ensuring that people remain at the centre of the safeguarding process and that interventions are both proportionate and effective. Your work will be varied and rewarding, providing an excellent opportunity to develop and strengthen specialist safeguarding expertise.

The Assessment and Intake Team operates 2 days in the office and 3 days working from home rota. The role initially for 3 months, but we anticipate will be extended pending permanent recruitment.

Skills

  • Prior experience using IT Databases e.g. Mosaic/Liquid Logic
  • Safeguarding investigations experience
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience post ASYE
