What the Job Involves
The role of Electrical Inspector involves conducting surveys of low and high-rise buildings, report writing, and condition/feasibility reporting. You will inspect electrical works on site, addressing issues related to specifications, regulations, health & safety, and engineering preferences. Engaging with stakeholders including Project Managers, engineers, residents, and main contractors is crucial to this role. Your tasks will also include attending project progress meetings, ensuring quality and standards through snagging, and assisting in the soft landings process for repairs and maintenance. This role involves 35 hours per week with the flexibility of hybrid working.
Skills
- City & Guilds (Level 3) or equivalent
- IEE Wiring Regulations 18th Edition
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role
- Sound knowledge of electrical installations
- Proficient in written & verbal communication
- Proficient in MS Office Packages (Word/Outlook/Excel)
- Knowledge of Microsoft Teams
- Experience in technical report writing
- Experience in electrical contracting or consultancy
