What the job involves
The role involves providing a high-performing social work service to adults across various service areas, including older people services, disabilities services, mental health, and early intervention. Initial tasks as a NQSW include managing a limited client caseload under supervision, participating in the Assessed & Supported Year in Employment (ASYE) program, and engaging with multi-agency partnerships. As you advance, you will manage complex caseloads, provide supervision to peers, and contribute to service plans.
Skills
- Professional Social Work Degree or equivalent
- Experience in assessment and care management of severe mental disorders
- Application of Mental Capacity and Care Acts
- Clear verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage complex cases with autonomy
- Strong critical reflection and analytical skills
- Understanding of current social work practices and research
