Who You Are
We are looking for an interim project manager with a strong understanding of the Planning system and relevant laws associated with Highways and Environmental Health. The ideal candidate will have experience managing building works and projects in a governmental or corporate service environment. This is a primarily remote role, but regular attendance in Teams meetings and occasional site visits are required.
What the job involves
- Liaise with teams such as Highways, Environmental Health, and Planning to ensure compliance with requirements.
- Develop a process map for assessing, negotiating, and approving DCMPs.
- Determine where to place new posts within the current structure and teams.
- Create job descriptions for DCMP officers, securing agreement from relevant stakeholders.
- Oversee recruitment for DCMP officer roles.
Skills
- Higher National Diploma in Building Studies or equivalent
- Knowledge of Planning system and laws related to Highways and Environmental Health
- Experience in direct management of building surveyors
- Significant experience as a Chartered Construction manager or Chartered building engineer
- Proficiency in managing projects from feasibility/design to completion
- Experience creating project tender packs
