Who You Are
You are a self-motivated, enthusiastic individual capable of working independently as well as part of a team. You possess basic literacy, numeracy, and IT skills, along with a full EU driving license (category C), an LGV license, and a valid Driver CPC Card. Your experience includes working in a fleet depot, carrying out manual work, adhering to safe manual handling procedures, and maintaining a high standard of driving. You have a good geographic knowledge of Conwy County and are equipped to engage confidently with customers. Proficiency in English is essential, while the ability to speak Welsh is desirable.
What the Job Involves
You will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of the fleet workshop and handling vehicles as required. This includes supporting drivers in checking vehicles, maintaining workshop equipment, washing vehicles prior to service, and ensuring cleanliness in workshop areas. You will assist technicians, deliver and collect vehicle parts and vehicles, and maintain internal stock. The role requires continuous training and assessments, as well as flexibility to fulfill other duties as assigned. Establishing good working relationships, adhering to health and safety practices, and supporting the Authority’s equality principles are also part of your responsibilities.
