Who You Are

You are a qualified and experienced social worker with a degree or equivalent qualification, and current registration with the Social Work England (SWE). You have a minimum of two years post-qualification experience in statutory children’s social care services. You are committed to improving the lives of vulnerable children and young people, working within legislative frameworks and collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams. You are dedicated to your own professional development and have a commitment to equality and diversity.

What the job involves

The role involves contributing to the operational delivery of an effective Children’s Social Care Service, managing a complex and varied caseload, and safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable children and young people. You will be responsible for maintaining up to date assessments, care plans, and reviews, and communicating skillfully in complex situations. Duties include undertaking work within legislative frameworks, attending multidisciplinary forums, undertaking direct work with children and families, and working cooperatively across council and agency boundaries. You will manage data entry, ensure effective expenditure, and conform to health, safety, and equal opportunity policies.
