Who You Are
This role requires a compassionate and experienced social worker dedicated to adult safeguarding. You should be able to manage statutory duties with professionalism, working collaboratively with other agencies to ensure the safety and protection of at-risk adults. You need to demonstrate a commitment to equality, diversity, and anti-oppressive practice while being self-reliant and adaptable to change.
What the Job Involves
The Social Worker (Adult Safeguarding) will be responsible for managing and responding to safeguarding reports, performing statutory duties under relevant legislation, and making informed decisions to manage risks of abuse and neglect. The role requires chairing and coordinating multi-agency strategy meetings, as well as developing and implementing adult protection plans. The post holder will also participate in supervision and service development activities to maintain high standards of safeguarding practices.
