You are a dedicated social worker with a degree in Social Work and a minimum of three years of experience in child protection or long-term teams. What the Job Involves

• Undertaking assessments and providing social work services as per council statutory duties and policies.
• Working with duty teams to ensure efficient case management and safeguarding of vulnerable children.
• Engaging in care management, monitoring, reviewing plans, and collaborating with other workers and agencies.
• Managing and progressing cases, participating in court proceedings, and representing the Local Authority in legal matters.
• Ensuring compliance with legal requirements, council policies, and health and safety standards.
• Participating in training, team duties, and contributing to continuous improvement of services.

Skills

• Social Work Degree, SWE registered
• In-depth knowledge of relevant child protection legislation
• Strong communication and report-writing skills
• Competence in risk and needs assessment
• Experience with Information Technology and case information systems
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders
