You are a dedicated social worker with a degree in Social Work and a minimum of three years of experience in child protection or long-term teams. You are passionate about safeguarding children and delivering better outcomes through informed, timely interventions. You are an effective communicator with strong analytical skills and are committed to equality, diversity, and the welfare of vulnerable children and families. You adhere to professional standards and embrace continuous learning and development.
What the Job Involves
- Undertaking assessments and providing social work services as per council statutory duties and policies.
- Working with duty teams to ensure efficient case management and safeguarding of vulnerable children.
- Engaging in care management, monitoring, reviewing plans, and collaborating with other workers and agencies.
- Managing and progressing cases, participating in court proceedings, and representing the Local Authority in legal matters.
- Ensuring compliance with legal requirements, council policies, and health and safety standards.
- Participating in training, team duties, and contributing to continuous improvement of services.
Skills
- Social Work Degree, SWE registered
- In-depth knowledge of relevant child protection legislation
- Strong communication and report-writing skills
- Competence in risk and needs assessment
- Experience with Information Technology and case information systems
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders
