Independent Social Worker (Connect Person’s Assessment) (Grade 8)

Who You Are

You are a qualified social worker with at least 3 years of experience, registered with Social Care Wales, residing in Wales. You have previous fostering experience, including the completion of Connect Person’s Assessments. You can work independently but also value regular supervision and feedback.

What the Job Involves

As part of Foster Wales Cardiff, you will conduct face-to-face assessments for prospective kinship carers. You will need to assess and prepare candidates for presentation to the panel on Wednesdays and guide them through their journey as kinship carers. Assessments are compensated at £2250 each.

Skills

• Registered with Social Care Wales
• Minimum of 3 years' social work experience
• Previous fostering experience
• Completed Connect Person’s Assessment
• Ability to work independently and initiative-driven
• Strong assessment and observational skills
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
