Who You Are

You are an experienced Social Worker committed to delivering high-quality services to children and their families, especially those deemed to have unmet needs or are at risk of harm. Your role centers around providing support and fostering resilience and independence while ensuring child safety remains a priority. With at least three years of post-qualification experience, you bring robust interpersonal skills and a deep sense of empathy and professionalism to your work.

What the Job Involves

As a Social Worker within the Children, Families, and Safeguarding Service, you will deliver direct social work services following statutes, policies, and an outcome-focused approach. Your responsibilities include building effective partnerships across various sectors, managing complex caseloads, and participating in safeguarding investigations. You'll also prepare reports, attend meetings, and collaborate within a team to ensure the children's and families' rights and needs are met. This full-time role, based in Coed Pella, Colwyn Bay, requires your presence on-site and involves engaging with the community alongside attending professional development and training sessions.

Skills

  • Social Work Qualified, minimum 3 years post-qualified
  • Registered with Social Care Wales
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and guidelines
  • Experience with complex case work and safeguarding procedures
  • Ability to work independently and manage own time
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Team work and interpersonal skills
  • IT literate, proficient in Microsoft packages
