Who You Are

You are a dedicated Children’s Social Worker with a focus on assessing the needs and risks for vulnerable children and their families. You possess a strong commitment to achieving positive change and ensuring improved outcomes through high-quality assessments, care planning, and child protection investigations. You have experience working within local authority children’s social care in England and can demonstrate a minimum of 3 years post-qualified experience in direct employment. You are adaptable and capable of working flexibly, including office-based and remote work arrangements. You value promoting and demonstrating organizational values such as trust, support, and being customer-centered. A valid driver's license is essential for fulfilling the role requirements across the county.

What the Job Involves

The role involves acting as a professional representative who delivers excellent social work services to children and families. You will manage complex caseloads independently, making accurate needs assessments and implementing effective outcomes. You are responsible for building effective relationships with children, young people, and families, and working collaboratively with partner organizations. The role requires participation in case conferences, producing quality assessments, and supporting the implementation of department policies and procedures. You will also work to promote excellent standards of social work practice, assess needs and risks, and report any suspicions of abuse to the appropriate manager or supervisor.
