You may be working towards or already hold membership in professional bodies like RICS, CABE, or CIOB. You are customer-focused, with highly effective communication skills and a strong commitment to personal development and teamwork. Flexibility and the ability to work across various locations are essential.
What the Job Involves
The role involves supporting the Building Control Service throughout North Yorkshire. You will ensure buildings comply with regulatory standards by inspecting and checking plans, conducting site inspections, and taking enforcement actions when necessary. You'll handle a variety of projects, from small domestic to complex non-domestic schemes, and maintain records in line with the Building Control Service Document Management Policy. The role includes liaising with external agencies and providing excellent customer service. You will also contribute to a strong performance culture and work under difficult conditions during emergency situations to ensure safety.
