Who You Are
You are a qualified, experienced social worker with a commitment to providing a high-quality social work service to older people and their families/carers. With a minimum of three years post-qualification experience, you are adept at working collaboratively with citizens, carers, and families to promote independence and ensure their voices are central to decision-making processes.
What the Job Involves
Your role involves delivering direct social work services to vulnerable citizens, working in accordance with relevant legislation and guidelines. You will develop partnerships with various stakeholders to meet social service needs and respond to safeguarding concerns as outlined in the Wales Interim Policy. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate records, preparing reports, and facilitating meetings. The position requires a focus on promoting resilience, independence, and safeguarding while supporting citizen participation in service development.
Skills
- Recognised Social Work qualification
- Registration with Social Care Wales
- Minimum three years post-qualification experience
- Experience with statutory and policy guidelines
- Ability to develop effective relationships with various stakeholders
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- IT literacy, including Microsoft packages
- Fluency in Welsh and English desirable
- Ability to mentor and support newly qualified social workers
- Flexible and adaptable to change
