Who You Are
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has strong experience working with housing management and finance systems (ideally Northgate NEC).
- Can manage large datasets, perform critical analysis, and present insights clearly.
- Understands housing policy, rent legislation, and financial reporting.
- Possesses excellent SQL and data reporting skills.
- Thrives in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.
- Understands the importance of statutory compliance and service excellence.
- Experience with ITIL practices, social housing, and working towards a CCAB qualification.
What the Job Involves
You’ll play a pivotal role in managing housing finance systems, producing actionable insights, and supporting statutory and operational processes. Key responsibilities include:
- Configure, maintain, and improve housing management & finance systems (e.g. Northgate NEC).
- Act as the gatekeeper for all system changes impacting finance, rents and housing data.
- Ensure compliance with all statutory housing rent communications and processes.
- Develop and maintain complex reports on arrears, recovery, service charges and income performance.
- Support budget planning and rent-setting processes through robust forecasting for revenue maximisation.
- Oversee rent reconciliation and transaction matching.
- Manage quarterly and annual rent statements and notifications.
- Represent rent system interests in council-wide IT and transformation projects.
Skills
- Proficiency in managing housing and finance systems
- Experience with large datasets and data analysis
- Knowledge of SQL, SAP BusinessObjects, QlikSense
- Understanding of housing policy and financial reporting
- Ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams
- Strong communication skills for presenting insights
