Who You Are
You are a passionate individual eager to work with and inspire young people. You are committed to making a difference in their lives by supporting them to voice their opinions and engage in positive activities. You possess a minimum Level 1/2 NVQ JNC recognized Youth Support Worker qualification or similar, and have experience working with vulnerable young people. Proficiency in Bengali or Somali is desirable.
What the Job Involves
As part of a team, you will deliver year-round universal and targeted youth activities across the borough. You will work on projects focusing on various issues such as health, bullying, transitions, sexuality, crime, and more. You will design and organize activity programs that include informal educational programs and youth recreational activities. Additionally, you will engage in administrative tasks, report on work, plan and deliver activities, and achieve delivery targets related to youth programs.
